Filming Vox Pops

As a group we went to Liscard and New Brighton to film our vox pops for our documentary we asked them short questions. It was a challenge as allot of people were not keen on the idea of getting recorded.

Vox pox questions:

  •    Do you enjoy bowling?
  •    Who do you go bowling with?
  •    How often do you go bowling?
  •    Describe bowling in three words?
  •    What else do you do when you go bowling?
  •    Would you recommend bowling to others?

Print advert draft

Before creating our print advert we decided that we should do a rough sketch of it first. We wanted it to look visually interesting. We decided on a bowling ball with pins by using an effect it will look like that pins are falling over.

Questionnaire for audience feedback

Here are the questionnaires for our audience feedback

Audience feedback

We conducted a questionnaire about our completed documentary radio trailer and print advert these are our results.

This is my class watching my documentary listening to my radio trailer and looking at my print advert. After this they completed my questionnaire.

Radio script

For many, bowling is an iconic pass time within American culture but in Britain bowling continues to increase in popularity from a leisure pursuit to a competitive sport.

But why have bowling alleys become the mainstay of retail parks?

[Voxpops]·   ‘I’m always going bowling with my mates, it’s a great laugh’
·   ‘Its fab because I can have a few drinks and a bite to eat as well’

And how do people go from casual bowler to league player?
·         ‘I’m dead competitive, I always have to win’
·         ‘Bowling takes my mind off everyday life’
